Alexandra Voelmle first found her passion for theatre when her mother enrolled her in children’s theatre at the ripe old age of four. This soon led to her first role as Dagmar in I Remember Mama. Because she was unable to read, the director recorded all of her scenes on cassette tapes, which her ever-supportive parents played non-stop in the car. She went on to play Nearly every in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, a play she can still recite almost verbatim. She graduated from Fort Myers High School with an International Baccalaureate degree and honors from several organizations including National Honor Society, Rho Kappa, and Youth in Government. Roles in high school included Tobias Ragg in Sweeney Todd and Ouiser Boudreaux in Steel Magnolias.
She graduated from the University of Central Florida with her BFA in Musical Theatre. College productions include Agnes in The Divine Sister, ensemble members for The Drowsy Chaperone and Nine, The Dark Lady of the Sonnets, as well as numerous cabarets and benefit performances.
Alexandra enjoys improv and sketch comedy. She has been a member of both The Goodprov Badprov Academy and Quadruple Stuffed Oreos, who produce a biannual “30 in 60” show of sketches and YouTube videos.
She was able to tour the Mid-Atlantic region with Hampstead Stage Company, bringing theatre to children from all walks of life. She will continue her journey in southwest Florida, where she will be performing in the ensemble of the Gulf Coast Symphonie's production of South Pacific, as well as assistant directing.
